INDISPUTABLE PROOF THAT THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG IS A CHRISTIAN SYMBOL FROM ONE OF ITS DESIGNERS

I found a real gem while doing some research today. The Confederate Battle Flag and Confederate Monuments have been under assault for years now but there can be no doubt the past year has seen these attacks increase in frequency. One of the reasons enemies of all things Southern give for wanting to eradicate historical symbols is the claim that they represent "white supremacy".

Today I stumbled upon "Confederate women of Arkansas in the Civil War , 1861-'65" . In this book an article from the May , 1900 issue Confederate Veteran entitled "Vivid History of Our Battle Flag", written by General W.L. Cabell , Quartermaster of the Confederate army of Virginia.

Cabell describes the Confederate Battle Flag as a red flag with a blue St. Andrew's Cross with white stars.  This description confirms that the flag was not a secular symbol, nor was it a "white supremacists" symbol.

According to Franciscan Media:

"Andrew was Saint Peter’s brother, and was called with him. “As [Jesus] was walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is now called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen. He said to them, ‘Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ At once they left their nets and followed him” (Matthew 4:18-20).

John the Evangelist presents Andrew as a disciple of John the Baptist. When Jesus walked by one day, John said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.” Andrew and another disciple followed Jesus. “Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, ‘What are you looking for?’ They said to him, ‘Rabbi (which translated means Teacher), where are you staying?’ He said to them, ‘Come, and you will see.’ So they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day” (John 1:38-39a).

Little else is said about Andrew in the Gospels. Before the multiplication of the loaves, it was Andrew who spoke up about the boy who had the barley loaves and fishes. When the Gentiles went to see Jesus, they came to Philip, but Philip then had recourse to Andrew.

Legend has it that Andrew preached the Good News in what is now modern Greece and Turkey and was crucified at Patras on an X-shaped cross."
Case closed.

Oklahoma Veteran Arrested for Defending Himself Against Alleged Meth- Maker

On the evening of April 14, 2014 Edwin Turlington, a U.S. Army Veteran and Private Investigator who lives in Delaware County, Oklahoma noticed two men starting a fire on adjacent property owned by his brother. Ed tells me, "When I purchased the property it was land locked so my brother purchased the property next to it so I would not have to get an easement."

The incident has placed Mr. Turlington in a four year legal battle and facing a 10 year sentence if convicted.
Mr. Turlington states he:

"Found three strangers, including convicted drug dealer Darrell Philpott cooking Meth on land his brother recently contracted for and already acquired the right to possess. Relying on his law enforcement training and experience, Ed realized the men had taken the license plates off their truck, which is a significant indicator they were going out into the community with bad intentions. Ed executed a citizen's arrest in accordance with Oklahoma statutes. Rather than submit to t…

Revealed: SPLC Co-Founder Accused of Trying to Molest Step-Daughter

Chances are that if you're reading this you have heard of The Southern Poverty Law Center. The non for profit legal organization that has provided information to law enforcement and is a "go to" source of information by almost every reporter that encounters a "controversial" story.
Widely known for its defense of Civil Rights the SPLC has filled its coffers defending the oppressed and exposing hate-groups, at least that is how the organization wants to be perceived. The reality is that the SPLC has made their millions by twisting the facts. They would have the public believe there is a Klansman hiding behind every tree and a Nazi at every podium.
I once found myself in their crosshairs by proposing to hoist a Missouri Battle Flag at the grave of Missouri Confederate Colonel William Jeffers in Jackson, Missouri. The ironic thing about their opposition to this "hate-crime"is the fact that after the war, Jeffers formed a militia to combat the Klan.

Only You Can Prevent Forrestal Fires

John McCain has died this weekend at the age of 81. He was a naval aviator, a p.o.w. and a senator.

Dubbed a "Maverick" for his independent political views many considered him a hero.

Many but not everyone.

A post I found on the Facebook Group "The Eagle Eye" pointedly takes a different path in the description of the Senator, a far different eulogy than the lovefest the media is publishing. From the Eagle Eye:

" This is my opinion page, so I can say what I want here. If you loved John McCain, then I advise you not to read any further! I will say that the death if John McCain has been a difficult loss for his family, although maybe they feel relief knowing he isn't suffering anymore. But, from my standpoint, I'll be blunt. McCain was a kiss ass middle of the roader doing what was politically correct, NOT what was right for our country. Obama won his first Presidential term because of McCain. McCain was a loser (and was rejected just like Mitt Romney). …
